RE: Confused
We hook to the home and head down the road we want to travel. when we find a place we want to stay we stop and ask for work. We get to check out the campground and they get to see us. I get workamper and there are a lot work there, but our way works for us.
I was offered 2 jobs this week so for me finding work is not hard, that could change quick, real quick.
RE: Looking for a workcamping situation
DW and I drive till we find a place we like than find a campground ask for a job, find out what they expect, tell them what we will do (cleaning)and either go to work or go down the road, works for us might not for you.
RE: RV-Transport from U.S. to Canada
Harwerth
Call the company you plan to work for. Call the OOIDA. Owner operator Independent Drivers Association out of Grain Valley, Mo If you are serious about this job. Remember this is a job not a joy ride it is work but you can do well at it. If you thank this is a cheap way to get someone to pay for your travels won't happen. You are off to a good start and you can do well.
RE: WINTER TEXANS BEWARE-4/11-UPDATE
I live in Mo and my truck is licensed at 26 thousand lbs. I ask for and received a second plate because of a incident at the Progresso border crossing about 3 years ago.
When returning from a Mexico mission trip we were being inspected by border patrol and were asked by the inspecter where our rear license plate was, we told him MO only issued one plate for the front of truck and Texas extended recropricty. He told us that he was a ex state trooper and he would stop us and issue a ticket if he were still a trooper. I took that as a warning.
I spent the winter in the RVG and didn't have any problems that don't mean others didn't.
Just my .02 yours may be worth more.
